My name is Tom and I am History Swiftly. I am a U.S. history teacher in a local, suburban school district and am passionate about teaching history and sharing that love of history. Over the last 20+ years as a teacher, I’ve taken students from Quebec City to Boston to Gettysburg to Annapolis to Washington. Philadelphia is always a favorite tour. I enjoy sharing all of the wonderful history and fun Philadelphia has to offer and offer recommendations on how best to see the city!

We had the pleasure of taking a tour in Philly with Tom today, and it was absolutely fantastic! Tom was incredibly informative, fun, and polite throughout the entire experience. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone was engaged and comfortable. Towards the end of the tour, we lost the group after making a quick bathroom stop, but Tom came back to meet us and even provided a summary of everything we missed. His dedication and professionalism were truly impressive. I’d highly recommend taking Tom’s tour. We thoroughly enjoyed it and left with a much deeper appreciation for the city. Extremely knowledgeable, great story telling. Excellent and kind hearted human being that was communicative when my group was late. Easy to find and very approachable, was very considerate of how cold and rainy it was. Would recommend to anyone!
