My name is Tom and I am History Swiftly. I am a U.S. history teacher in a local, suburban school district and am passionate about teaching history and sharing that love of history. Over the last 20+ years as a teacher, I’ve taken students from Quebec City to Boston to Gettysburg to Annapolis to Washington. Philadelphia is always a favorite tour. I enjoy sharing all of the wonderful history and fun Philadelphia has to offer and offer recommendations on how best to see the city!
Thomas was a great tour guide. He was fun and energetic and full of great info. He made sure everyone was comfortable --- kept us in the shade, walked at a comfortable pace, recommended local places, etc. A great choice for a newbie to Philly but also a local who just wants to learn more.
Thomas was absolutely fantastic. It was a hot day but he was able to keep everyone engaged in the tour. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Philly!
Tom was amazing! We've never had such an enthusiastic guide- you could really tell that he loved sharing his passion for Philadelphia's history! Also, his pronunciation was very clear and easy to understand - also for non-native speakers!
