We had a great tour of Tashkent in the cold and snow with Donat. He was very informative and was able to answer any questions we had regarding the tour subjects, as well as having a lot of interesting discussions with us about the culture, politics, economics etc of Uzbekistan more widely. As we were the only two people on the tour, we were able to take our time and enjoyed chatting with Donat and getting to know him a little while walking between places. Recommended tour.
We had a great tour with Yusuf which covered all the main sights of historic Samarkand. Yusuf was very informative and was able to answer any further questions we had about the tour. As we were the only two people on the tour, we were able to take our time and chat about other things while walking between places, helping us to learn more about the city and Uzbekistan more widely. The tour lasted approximately 4 hours but it didn't feel like the time was dragging at any point. Highly recommended!
Fascinating tour of Warsaw’s tragic experiences during the Second World War. The tour covered the invasions of Poland from east and west, occupation, Jewish ghettos, and beginning of communism and rebuilding of the city after the war. Max gave a very detailed tour and was able to answer additional questions thoroughly. His enthusiasm for the subject and personal connection to the history of the city were clear to see. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyable tour of Vienna. Our guide Rainer did a great job of showing us many of the city's sights and the stories behind them. He was also excellent at asking questions group members asked, elaborating and expanding on the questions and weaving his answers into the content of the tour. He also gave us loads of interesting information about the day-to-day lives and cultures of people living in Vienna today, which nicely broke up historical facts about buildings, landmarks etc. The morning felt more like walking around the city chatting with a friend rather than a bland scripted tour. Highly recommended!
