The free walking tour that we did with Irvin was quite possibly the best walking tour we've ever done, free or not. We got a wealth of information about the history of Gjirokaster and Albania, as well as what life is like today. The tour was a great mix of history and culture. We even were unexpectedly treated to some traditional iso-polyphonic singing, which we agreed might have been the highlight of our three weeks in the region. We would absolutely take this tour again, if we return to Gjirokaster!
