My name is Jose. I live in Coimbra since I was a student here a few years ago.
I like history, culture and art. And I love meeting new people.
I offer general tours of the city in Portuguese and English. I also offer more specific and in-depth tours of the New and Old Cathedrals and the University of Coimbra.
Jose Antonio was one of the best guides we’ve had in Portugal. Well prepared with large pictures and maps, he is very knowledgeable and brings us to the best spots for pictures. He also gave us a sheet of paper at the end with his local recommandations!
Jose was an excellent guide. He knows his city inside and out and sprinkled history into it without it feeling like a history lesson. His English is easy to understand and he kept the tour very entertaining. We highly recommend!
Excellent tour with Jose . He know the history and kept us entertained with stories of his time at the university. The 2.5 hours passed really fast. U would not regret signing up for his tour. Really enjoyed it
José was an amazing guide for our tour. He is really nice, so you are confortable since the beginning. He speaks a really good English, and always try his best to understand your questions. We did a Coimbra tour, and it was nice to see the Tourist Spots, but also some hidden places. We learnt a lot about the traditions of the scholars here. José helped us to take photos, and he give us some jokes. After the tour, he also give us more recommendations in the city, like restaurants, where to take a good coffee to hear fado,... It was one of my favorite tour ever!
