A Brit expat who's loved in Rotterdam for over 30 years and has been inspired by the dynamic and energetic transformation of the city after the bombardment of May 1940.
It was a pleasure to discover Rotterdam through the explanations of David. He takes the time to show us every places he likes, even though we eventually overpassed the 4 hours planned for this tour. I highly recommend David :)
Taking the tour with David felt more like exploring the city with a friend who is a local. The pace was perfect, not brisk but not at a snail’s pace either. Along the way, David pointed out interesting sights, telling us stories related to what we were seeing and kept an eye to make sure no one was left behind. It was such a pleasant stroll, I stopped thinking of it as a tour. We even sat together in a cafe and had some refreshments, all of us chatting with ease. It was one of the best non-tour tours I’ve ever taken.
I was super lucky to get a 1 on 1 tour with David but I am sure he would be great with a group. Very knowledgeable about the history, architecture and culture of Rotterdam, with the right amount of detail. Able to adapt the route and content to the audience. Highly recommended.
Having spent that many years in Rotterdam, David has a vast knowledge of the city, and you can feel his enthusiasm to share his knowledge. The tour was interesting, entertaining, and David included several hidden gems, which you only learn about by joining his tour. Overall the tour was great fun, and we highly recommend this to anyone visiting Rotterdam, even if it’s not the first time
