While I didn’t attend this tour because the guide wasn’t able to attend, Vivian allowed me to join her tour in Alfama and while many of the sight I had experienced already in my previous day tour, she was a great guide and provided a different perspective and some new information. It was an enjoyable afternoon 😊

Our guide, Alex, is an exciting and enthusiastic presenter. While he is admittedly new to being a guide, he love of folk come in - he was eager to show us everything. His love of the city and his job is infectious. Going to Al Fama means going UP lots of stairs and hills and he moderated them as best he could. I think we would have appreciated a walk on one of the local streets, but you cant include everything. Probably the sweetest stop was on a side street on the way back to town where an older woman sold ginging from her doorway - cute
