I learned a lot about the Old Town Walls and Dubrovnik itself. It is worth taking this tour if you wish to take something from the experience of walking the Wall. Marko was amazing and he really knows his stuff. This combination of guided tour at the start and self-exploration for the rest works very well for this site since most of the historical tidbits are in the first half. Tip: Listen. There’s a quiz at the end. ;)
Not your typical walking tour. It is packed with historical information, and Viktor correlates the past with the present. Political musings from the guide are not everyone’s cup of tea, but I quite enjoyed the 2+ hours we spent with him. It was interesting to hear a local’s pov of what Dubrovnik (or Croatia in general) actually is.
Still went ahead even though I am the only who booked the tour. I really appreciate all the tips and recommendations.
The tour was very casual but packed with information and hidden tidbits. I will never look at Rome the same way again. Nick had to improvise tonight’s tour due to the crowds (it’s the feast of the Immaculate Concepcion). I was sold on THE Pantheon. If only I could fit it in my backpack and bring it home. But Nick won’t like that. Thank you for showing us Rome on a different (night)light!
Brilliant tour, and an even more brilliant guide. Very interactive as well. Keeps you guessing until the end. Max tries to keep everyone engaged as it is very vital in following the story. I am not going to spoil here who killed Caravaggio. There were plenty of hints in the story so you really need to listen. If you’re up for a murder mystery with art history on the side, then this one is for you. I’m really starting to get the hang of unconventional tours such as this one. Great job!
