My name is Samir and I am a professor of History and Anthropology at the University of Cienfuegos. The history and culture of my country and my city are my great passion. I am also a simple person who likes to talk and share my knowledge with others. That is why this tour that I propose is a unique experience, which aims to take the visitor on a kind of journey through the 200-year history of the so-called Pearl of the South. It is also an opportunity to learn about the daily life of today's Cuban society, and to live and admire the spirit and identity of a city considered Cultural Heritage of Humanity. I must also tell you that in case I cannot attend the tour for any reason, my substitute will always be Vladimir González. An excellent guide who has a lot of experience and great knowledge, and who also works as a professor at the University of Cienfuegos.
Great tour and Guru Yoan Samir, lot of knowledge shared. He gives a good perspective on the foundation of the city and on the revolution. It's nice to finish on the port at dusk. Highly recommended!
