I was born in Patagonia and have lived in the La Boca neighborhood for five years. My greatest wish is that anyone who comes to Argentina, upon setting foot on this land, feels a little bit Argentine. This would be a great honor and bring me immense satisfaction. For the Argentine heart, in our land, no one is a foreigner if they come with the desire to feel like one of our brothers and sisters. That heart and that brotherhood are what we offer most sincerely and most preciously.
A beautiful and colourful part of town. It was a great tour. The guide took us first through the local areas of the La Boca, which I appreciated but this also means lots of walking without too much to see in between, before we went to the touristy spots. If you arrive at the meet up spot (McDonald's) early, definitely head to the mural to take some photos, otherwise it's hard to when the tour starts and everyone is standing there blocking the view and then we have to quickly move out to the next spot. Sometimes it was hard to understand the guide as due to Spanish accent and when he spoke fast. Bring cash, as some of the local food vendors he recommended only take cash and prepare to spend a day in La Boca after the tour as there is so much to see, do and eat there!
Natalia was a very good tour guide. She knows La Boca inside out. She was entertaining and has a great voice which she showcased through her singing of a tango song. La Boca is a special neighbourhood and Natalia was able to bring that out in her tour. All in all, I wouldn’t highly recommend this tour.
Warning- a lot of walking. But totally worth it - you have to see La Boca with a guide.
Natalia has been great. We enjoyed a lot the tour. She was capable to tell everything with passion and ability to be listen. Stunning.
She was really involved & passioned in the stories of the neighbourhood so it was really interesting to listen !
