Sheva Walking Tours Team - Tour Guide in Mostar

I was born and raised in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Over the course of over 40 years, I have experienced the many changes which have occurred in my country. I grew up in Yugoslavia. I came of age during its violent dissolution during the wars of the 1990s and fought for my country. I have witnessed and felt the changes that followed the country's early years of independence. One thing that has not changed is my love for Mostar - the people, place, and culture.

I channeled this love, knowledge, and experience into the development of Sheva Walking Tours. Our tours are immersive and engaging, with the goal of not just presenting our past, but explaining the present from a local perspective and with the hope of dispelling the misconceptions associated with Mostar and the greater Balkan region.

Sheva Walking Tours is a small but growing team of passionate guides who are looking forward to sharing our hometown - past and present - with you. While we offer a range of private tours, our Free Walking Tour of Mostar is our most popular walking tour of Mostar. Currently, four local guides - Sevko, Haris, Mirjana, and Arnela - are leading Sheva's Free Walking Tours of Mostar with another team member working behind the scenes! We are dedicated to providing memorable and meaningful experiences that are accessible and welcome to all visitors, regardless of budget or background. Walk with us for an insiders perspective of Mostar!

I really enjoyed the walking tour with Arnela, as there were only three of us and it was such an intimate tour. Arnela was very knowledgable about the history side of the country and the city, and she gave us some of recommendation on where to eat and drink around Mostar. Highly recommended!

I was sad that I joined the tour alone (I think it’s not good for the guide), but still Arnela did the tour only for me so I wish really more people will come to join (because anyway even in the middle of January I saw a lot of tourists) 🤝 I enjoined the tour and I learned a lot of new information but as a tourist for only one day in Mostar I wished to saw more interesting places around the city but for it was more historical part and more about the war … of course I understand why it’s like that, but I would recommend to add more tips for example about food, cafes, maybe about local language and traditions. Anyway I was joined the tour and I happy that I came there, so I suggest for all other people also come for this tour specifically in law season it’s very good experience and solo travels like me would be alone ;) One more time thanks Arnela and thanks Mostar for a new wonderful experience 🇧🇦
