My name is Bruno. I was born in Brazil and raised in Boston where I lived for over 20 years. I returned to Brazil and decided to become a tour guide. We recently joined a "free tour" with Bruno, and while we had a great experience overall, we feel a bit conflicted about the pricing structure. The tour itself was wonderful. Bruno was an excellent guide, taking us to many interesting sites and providing insightful explanations in both English and Portuguese. It was a very informative and enjoyable walk around the city. Bruno’s bilingualism made it easy for everyone in the group to follow along, and we appreciated his engaging approach. IMPORTANTE: the issue came when it was time to pay. While the tour is advertised as "pay what you want," the guide suggested a price of 35 euros per person, which was a bit surprising. After spending four days in Brazil, where free tours generally ask for much lower contributions, we felt the final amount was quite steep—around three times what other free tours charge. We understand that these tours are a way to support the guides, and we don’t mind paying for good service, but we felt that the suggested price was a bit too high. We want to emphasize that Bruno did a good job, and we truly appreciated the quality of the tour. Nonetheless, we believe the pricing could be more transparent and aligned with what other similar tours in the area typically ask for. Overall, we recommend Bruno for his knowledge and dedication, but be aware that the price might be higher than what you might expect from other free tours.

Living since 6 months in Rio, I was gainig a lot new information about the city. Bruno has a lot of knowledge about Rio and can answer every question you may have. The entertainment was also great, and although the tour is long, it never got boring. I would definitely recommend!!!
