I am a Latin, Classics and Ancient History teacher based in York. When I am not immersed in the ancient world, you can find me singing with my band at venues across the city or cooking delicious vegetarian meals at home.
The tour with Ellen was very interesting and refreshing. Even though I’m not so interested in Roman History, she made it really fun and entertaining. It was the right pace, enough Spots and some cool hidden spots, you’re probably overseeing when exploring alone. Thanks again Ellen :-)

Ellen was very nice and eventhough we were only the 2 of us for the tour she made it just for us. She tries the best for us to understand everything and she speaks slowly to us because we don't speak english. She made the tour very interesting and wonderfull. Thank You Ellen for the tour🙂
Such a great way to explore York! Ellen was fantastic as she shared interesting stories, fact s & sites relating to the Roman settlement of York. The sites were fascinating & not crowded, enabling us to get up close to actual Roman ruins. Yay! She shared a few non- roman info too, answering questions & wonderings the group members had. I really enjoyed our time in York. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks again Ellen. 👏🏽
