We booked the tour because of the good comment. Abdelali is familiar with the streets in the old Town and the neighborhood. It could be better if he could focus more on the group instead of chit Chat around with the neighor or others tours.
It was a fantastic quick overview about Fes from the historical and cultural perspectives. Abdelali was personable and knoweldgable about the city and gives very helpful tips to tourists. The 3-hour tour went by so fast that it doesn't feel like we've spent that much time together. We feel so welcomed and comfortable with Abdelali's humor and expertise. Thank you!

Our guide, a local with deep knowledge of the city, was engaging and informative. He led us through narrow, labyrinthine streets that we would have otherwise missed, pointing out historical landmarks, hidden gems, and offering insights into traditional crafts, local customs, and the city's complex architecture. The journey took us past centuries-old mosques, vibrant souks (markets), and workshops where artisans still practice their trades using ancient techniques. A highlight was the visit to the famous tanneries of Fez, where we saw the traditional leather-making process in action. The smell is strong, but the view of the colorful vats of dye is unforgettable. Along the way, our guide also shared fascinating stories about the city’s role in Islamic scholarship and the significance of certain rituals. The tour was interactive, with plenty of opportunities for questions, and the pace was just right—neither rushed nor dragging. Although it's labeled as a "free" tour, tipping at the end is highly recommended, as the guides work for tips and provide an invaluable service. This walking tour is perfect for those who want a deeper understanding of Fez beyond just the surface level of tourist sites. It’s a great way to explore the city while supporting local guides, and the 3-hour duration allows for a comprehensive experience without feeling overwhelming. Highly recommend
