Free Skopje Walking Tours started operating in 2016, with the idea of enabling visitors of our hometown to experience it from the perspective of locals.
Since then we welcomed more than 19,000 guests from more than 120 different countries from all around the world.
Most of them expressed their satisfaction with our services by sharing their experience through their reviews on TripAdvisor, where for several years our tour has been ranked as the #1 tour in Skopje.
At this moment the tours are conducted by Zoran and Vasko. Two local and an experienced licensed tourist guides. For their work they’ve been rewarded with various significant awards. In 2018 and 2019, the Government Agency for Tourism Promotion presented Zoran with the award “Best Tourist Guide of Macedonia”, while in 2010 Vasko received the award “Best Promoter of Macedonia”.

We have traveled all around the world and experienced hundreds of walking tours, and without a doubt, this is one of the best tours we have ever been on. Despite the freezing cold weather this afternoon, we happily spent the entire three hours with Zoran. He kept the group engaged and entertained while sharing the history of both the city and the country. Zoran skillfully balanced humor with important historical events that were relevant to the group. We were truly grateful to have received the introduction of the City from him.
Vasko was an excellent guide. Despite the bad weather, he kept smiling and engaging us in a very informative and fun tour of Skopje. I highly recommend the tour.
The tour was quite complex, yet compact with relaxing, informative breaks on every stop. Zoran combined very nicely the information about Macedonian history with daily life anecdotes from his home town Skopje, which enriched our tour and made it quite intimate at the same time. He was quite attentive with our curiosities, as well, very well-mannered and providing profound answers. Highly recommended 👌
