Minho Free Walking Tours owes its name to the region where it operates: Minho, the North West of Portugal. At the moment we have tours available in the cities of Braga and Guimarães and we only work with local guides. In that, we are the only ones who work like this 😊 We love our region and our people!
We are also the first in the city of Braga. This company started in 2016, with 2 History teachers and now we have a cooperative of guides, so we also do personalised tours and tours for travel agencies. We have in our team resident professionals linked to different areas of knowledge, such as History, Urbanism, Heritage and Archaeology.

María fue una guía maravillosa. Nos llevó por un montón de sitios, tanto turísticos como más locales, y nos fue explicando todo lo que necesitábamos saber sobre Braga. Además, nos recomendó varios comercios que merecen mucho la pena. Varias personas cancelaron a última hora y al final nos quedamos solo tres, así que el tour prácticamente fue privado. Podía haberlo cancelado, pero todo lo contrario. Estuvo más de dos horas con nosotros, con calma, explicando todo y llevándonos por sitios a los que no habríamos llegado por nuestra cuenta. Incluso nos llevó a una librería genial que fue todo un descubrimiento, y que no hubiéramos visitado si no nos hubieran llevado. Mereció muchísimo la pena.
Great tour guide
Jose was a real gem. Loved the tour and was well worth it. We have been to Braga before and this tour brought a very different experience on history and culture. We saw parts of Braga which we had missed before. Jose was very knowledgable and very confident in his knowledge.
