We were inspired to start when Luana returned to Brazil after living in Ireland for a year and immersing herself in local life. During her time in Europe, she had the opportunity to travel and learn about many countries and cultures. On every trip, whenever she visited a new city, the first thing she sought out was a “free walking tour”. When she returned to Brazil and couldn't find one in Rio de Janeiro, our travel agency was born, in July 2013. With 11 years in the market, we continue to share our passion! Free Walker has evolved and grown since then. Today, we offer tours in Rio de Janeiro, Paraty, and Salvador. Excelente tour. El recorrido fue muy interesante. Duró tres horas. Nosotros en particular estuvimos en el grupo de Micaela, una chica argentina que vive en Río de Janeiro hace unos años. Durante el recorrido, ella nos brindó mucha información de manera entretenida. Es altamente recomendable hacer el Tour con ella. Se aprende mucho de historia de Brasil. Micaela estaba con otro guía que se estaba formando y que también hizo aportes muy interesantes. Conviene hacerlo al inicio de la estadía en Río porque dan mucha información para que uno haga cosas por su cuenta. El Tour cubre casi todos los lugares de interés en el Centro Histórico, solo quedan fuera la Catedral por dentro, la Real Librería Portuguesa y un mural de Kobra. No se lo pierdan!
Car was really good. The tour was informative and we learned a lot of Brazilian history of which we were unaware. Cara was careful to keep us in the shade in a hot day and gave us some food non tour tips on Rio
Do not book with Free Walker. The Free Walker guide did not show up at the start time. When I inquired as to the guide's whereabouts, 10 minutes after the start time, Free Walker said the tour had been cancelled. Disappointing!
