We were inspired to start when Luana returned to Brazil after living in Ireland for a year and immersing herself in local life. During her time in Europe, she had the opportunity to travel and learn about many countries and cultures. On every trip, whenever she visited a new city, the first thing she sought out was a “free walking tour”. When she returned to Brazil and couldn't find one in Rio de Janeiro, our travel agency was born, in July 2013. With 11 years in the market, we continue to share our passion! Free Walker has evolved and grown since then. Today, we offer tours in Rio de Janeiro, Paraty, and Salvador. I have always had good Guru guides in the past but this walking tour felt a bit dull. It was supposed to start at 10:30-10:40 but we waited and waited for people to show up and didn’t set off till 11,05. The guide was very insistent on everyone having enough water (two stops that took ages) and also spent a lot of time telling us about other tours available. Roberto came across as a nice guy who knows a lot of information but I found the pace of delivery and content boring. If you want to see a part of Salvador safely in the company of a guide and learn a few bits of info then this tour is for you. You get to meet other travellers which is always interesting.
Ouf guide Bernardo was super nice, i didn’t notice the 2h1/2 of the tour, as it was super interesting.

Recién llegados a Salvador hicimos el tour con María, fue increíble. Recomiendo 100% nos ha introducido en la historia, cultura y religión que ayudó a que se realice un turismo a conciencia y respetuoso del lugar. Al finalizar dio tips muy útiles para un recién llegado. Quedamos super agradecidos de la experiencia.
