Yes, go on this tour! It was recommended to us (Americans) by an Australian who’d taken the tour a week before. It is highly informative about Sarajevo and Bosnia. Our guide Arna is from Sarajevo and she experienced the siege with her family. Her willingness to share personal stories and reflections was meaningful and helped us understand the situation on a more personal level, as well as also learning about aspects of the politics and government. Also, Arna is a welcoming person, and she provided levity and pride in her city as we walked around. She also gave us great tips on what else to do, including a photo exhibit that we later went to and was excellent. This is really a well-done tour that keeps a good pace and imparts so much information. Take it! You will learn a lot and enjoy the amazing culture and sights.
This was a top-notch tour! Nina was so informative, and also friendly and with a good sense of humor. She has deep knowledge (from her education, work, and teaching), and she conveyed it in digestible pieces, with lively stories and keeping our attention. She shared so much about the history of Ljubljana and Slovenia, as well as personal anecdotes, and she was an excellent source of tips for how we spent the remainder of the day. We had high expectations of the tour from recommendations from others, and we were not disappointed. A very worthwhile tour with a terrific tour guide!
