Hello, I am Thyl (pronounced “Teel”). I moved to the town of Silves 5 years ago and love it! I am an explorer and a painter, as well as a nature and history enthusiast. It is a joy to share with others the places and landscapes that I find interesting and to transmit some local knowledge.
A few years ago I started guiding (and driving) tours with small groups in the local countryside (Jeep Safaris in the hills, Boat Cruises on the river and Walking Tours). The main interest was nature but I always hoped one day to also focus on the culture of the place where I live.
At home, my bookcase is full of history books and now, after the necessary research, I am pleased to present, in a fun and friendly way, the amazing town where I live.
Thyl was punctual, knowledgeable, outgoing, pleasant. He provided valuable information about the area as well as the history of the area. The walk itself was not difficult with many stops along the way. We were provided with the opportunity to ask questions along the way.
