I am Yelena, a licensed guide, in love with my job. I graduated from the training courses for guides and guide-interpreters. I came into this profession with a huge amount of knowledge and great life experience. And here's the paradox: I liked it! I knew perfectly well that I could not live without traveling. Very interesting tour. I would recommend to anyone who wants to familiarase himself with Triest. But this is only a starting point for this city.
Had a stand in, Murad. Was not impressed by the earlier message from him stating we are all expected to pay him 10-50 euros each. Did not learn much as couldn’t understand a lot of it. If English was a second language for anyone then it would be almost impossible. Good places visited and nice message afterwards with recommendations for food, etc. Seemed a nice person.
Yelena was very knowledgeable about the history of Trieste and included personal stories as well. She offered local tips and recommendations for coffee, pizza, pasta, etc.
