Hi there, I'm Jony, a journalist and art student born in Argentina and living in Barcelona for the past 6 years. I created my tours to bring to light the rich history of Barcelona: centuries of history and characters that lived in these alleyways. My main goal is for each person who takes a tour with me to enjoy it while learning about the city's timeline, from the time when the Romans founded Barcino to modern and contemporary Barcelona. I hope to take you on an imaginary and real journey through the city.
His a knowledgeable person and he knows how to share it. Like it very much!
Excellent tour, great guy with great knowledge.
Jony was fantastic! He did a great job sharing the history of the Jewish quarter.
This was my first tour focused on the Jewish Quarter in Barcelona, and it fully met my expectations. The tour lasted exactly the advertised two hours and was conducted with a small group, which Jonny managed very well throughout the route. The historical content was solid and well documented. One particularly interesting element was the Torah of the synagogue, purchased in Morocco and later donated to the Major Synagogue of Barcelona, which added real historical depth to the visit. Jonny also included many cultural references that are especially meaningful if you are Jewish or have Jewish ancestry, particularly on the maternal side. Details such as the eastward orientation of the synagogue toward Israel, or the historical renaming of nearby streets, helped contextualize the space and its significance. At the end of the tour, Jonny recommended Barcelona’s main Jewish bookshop, which I visited afterward to ask about language classes. The tour is highly recommended for Jewish visitors in Barcelona and still very worthwhile for those with Jewish ancestry, even from a more secular or agnostic perspective. Jonny’s English was clear and easy to follow; when technical terms came up, he took the time to explain them in Spanish, which was appreciated. Overall, a well-organized, informative, and professionally delivered tour.
We had a fantastic walking tour of Barcelona’s Jewish Quarter with Jony. He was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, bringing the history of El Call to life. The tour was well paced and felt both personal and meaningful. A wonderful experience that added real depth to our time in Barcelona — highly recommended!
