This chocolate tour was very enjoyable, and our guide was professional, fun and knowledgeable. We visited the chocolate museum, a chocolate shop and fancy bonbon style chocolate factory / cafe. Our guide Memo lives in the area and knows the neighbourhoods very well. He also worked in the chocolate world in the past, and has a good understanding of the industry and chocolate in general. Along the way, we had a chance to purchase different cocoa and chocolate related products. Overall, it was a fun few hours to learn about the world of Mexican chocolate and wander the streets of Puerto Vallarta.
This was a fantastic tour. We were concerned that a "free" tour would be from inexperienced and new tour guides. Our guide Memo was knowledgeable and fun to walk with. He made suggestions for what we might enjoy at each stop, but was not pushing us if we chose different options. It was a great tour, and I would suggest it to anyone wanting an interesting tour of the inexpensive seafood options in the Romantic Zone. He is local to the area, and knows many of the owners and families. We have a wonderful time with this tour and with Memo.
