Hi, my name is Haktan. I am a licenced tour guide, a teacher, an ethnographer, a storyteller and a game developer. I have even done some open mic stand up comedy. All of these experiences make my tours fun, engaging and informative.
I traveled to 30+ countries joining free walking tours whenever I had a chance and collecting the good practices of other guides. I studied in the USA on a Fulbright scholarship and taught at different universities so I know how to capture and hold people's attention when I tell the incredible stories of this amazing city.
If you read the reviews about my tours you'll see the word "funny" in almost every review. I don't want to brag about humour but let me tell you this much I once made a whole group of Polish people laugh 😎.

I use audio headsets during my tours so you won't miss anything even when we are walking and talking.

Gloomy skies but we all were warmed up by his hospitality! 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ definitely. What Haktan said is true about his humour. He is also patient with my son and we were pleasantly surprised by a marbling artist segment. My son did a workshop after the tour and is very memorable for him.
He was so knowledgeable, entertaining and funny that the time flew away! One of the best guides that I had overall!
Haktan has a great presentation style and his humour and comments make for easy listening. His knowledge of Istanbul is super and rec of what one can do after the tour very good.
My husband and I took our first tour in Istanbul with Haktan. We had a great experience because Haktan came from an academic background and was super knowledgable in the facts he stated to us.
