Diego - Tour Guide in Santiago de Chile

My name is Diego Escobar Castro. I’m a former school teacher, a father to a curious 5-year-old boy, and a proud ambassador of my city. I am also the founder of *Better with a Teacher*, a project created for travelers who want to truly understand the history, culture, and unique character of Santiago and Chile. I have cycled more than 6,000 kilometers throughout Chile—across the Atacama Desert, the Carretera Austral, the Elqui Valley, and the Cajón del Maipo—as well as parts of Argentina. I’ve also completed numerous hikes around the country, so I’m always happy to share recommendations with anyone seeking outdoor adventures. Due to the growing popularity of this tour, I’m no longer able to guide both Spanish- and English-speaking groups simultaneously. For that reason, especially during high season, I am primarily dedicated to the English tours.
