Maria was welcoming but even though she only had a small group of 9 people, she managed to lose us and 3 others. The tour we did with Paulo yesterday had 40+ people and he lost no one. This tour needlessly starts at the Castel St Angelo. Even though it is steeped in interesting history, no information is provided about that stop. Instead we walked to the Basilica and we’re shown photos of the Castel. I can’t comment further as Maria moved on without us.
Great way to spend a couple of hours exploring this historic city. The guide we had, Paulo, was engaging, interesting, informative and helpful.
