Alex was a well prepared and quite knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed the tour overall, although felt it was a bit too long for the content provided. Too much time was spent watching street performers/ dancers and the kids playing basketball.
We thought the tour was lacking information, historical data, and stories. Was nothing new or fascinating to write home about. Not enough of anything to fill 2.5-3 hr tour, maybe 1 hr tops. On the positive note, the guide was very pleasant and with perfect English.
We took 3 free walking tours during this trip in Colombia and this tour was definitely the best. Javier is a great storyteller. He went out of his way to make the tour fun and informative sharing historical information as well as personal. This tour was a last minute decision and a pleasant surprise!
This was an excellent and super informative tour. Well paced, lots of historical facts, a fair amount of stories, and a healthy dose of sarcasm.
