My wife, Nidhi and I have been passionately travelling and exploring different cultures for the past 13-14 years. Our love for travel has only grown over the years, and we have been Hosts on various platforms since July 2019. We offer offline & online sessions to Guests from all around the world, ranging from cooking, mediation, traditions and festivals of India. We take pride in showcasing our vibrant culture in the most simple manner while answering any questions they may have. We've hosted 850+ Guests from more than 80 countries in last 6+ years at our home. As Indian natives, we're here to build long lasting relationships and bonds with our Guests and are passionate about helping bring people closer together through shared experiences. We hope to continue providing Guests with an unforgettable cultural experience for a long time to come.
My wife, Nidhi, shall be co-Guru for the tour and you will find her besides me in all my tours.
Note - I am flexible with date & time. Please ask for an alternate time if the given time does not suit your requirement. I shall happily fix up an Experience slot as per your need.
Roopak provides a very different experience to other 'Guruwalks'. You are welcomed into his family's home and are encouraged to ask as many questions as you like, even on the tricky subjects (religion and beliefs). I learned a great deal and really felt welcomed. The visit to the cow shed also answered many of my questions about the cows that you see roaming the streets, and the importance of these to the Indian people. I really enjoyed my visit, and hope one day to return.
Roopak is a wonderful Guru - he provided an excellent experience for me, a female solo traveller. Roopak was incredibly informative on all components of Indian culture and history and explained several elements of Hindu religion in his home. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to further their understanding of Indian culture and experience a true home in Delhi.
Roopak and Nidhi are very kind and informative. They do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are going to cook a delicious meal with you (including dessert and tea), show their home and much more. They also give recommendations for your travel plans and help you, if you get problems. Definitely recommended!
This experience was truly one of the highlights of our time in India. We were welcomed into a local family’s home with such warmth and generosity that we immediately felt less like tourists and more like guests. Together, we prepared traditional Indian tea, cooked dinner, and even made dessert. e Each step accompanied by stories, laughter, and meaningful conversations. Beyond cooking, the experience became a deep and thoughtful introduction to India itself. We learned about the country’s history, culture, spirituality, and everyday life. Lessons not from books or tours, but through honest dialogue inside an Indian home. Sharing a meal at the family table made everything more real, personal, and human. You can read about India online or hear facts from guides, but nothing compares to understanding the country through its very foundation: the traditional Indian family. This experience was fun, educational, spiritual, and deeply enlightening. If you want to truly feel India, not just see it, I wholeheartedly recommend this home and cooking tour. It offers insight, connection, and memories that stay with you long after the trip ends.
It was a wonderful 5-Star Tour comprising of several activities. I did five activities including Yoga Class and visited a Cow Shed which were my favourites. Hosts are great teachers and answered all my questions in detail. The overall Tour is very authentic being operated by a local family in Delhi. Both, Roopak & Nidhi, welcomed me warmly in their home and never felt in a hurry during the Tour. Their small car is super cute in which they took me to the Cow Shed. I loved the Tour and highly recommend it to travelers visiting India. The best part of the Tour is that you can pick & do activities as per your choice. This is certainly a 'Must-Do' Tour in Delhi.
