Ali is a really nice guy. Were polite and he is very friendly. Although his tour and itinerary needs some improvement. There are so many great buildings and sights on the way but we more or less just walked by. He could show photospot, and explain more about the sights. He did not really show us the University of Mumbai (you can’t go in but there are good points to make pictures). We did not walk through Kala Ghoda which is a nice neighborhood and close to the starting point. He did not show us the photospot in front of the railway station. He invited us for a tee and show us a nice snack place. That was nice. But there is lot of upside in his tour.
It should be made clear that it is not a free tour. One has to pay 1000 INR per person. It’s not that it is not worth it, it’s just against the philosophy of this site and the tours that are being offered. The question for me is if such a tour should be excluded from guruwalk. Apart from that we had a good tour. Thx!
We had a great tour. The guide did not push us to buy something in a shop. He was very knowledgeable and knew much about the history of the city and India as a whole. He gave good informations about the coexistence of Hindus and Muslims and knows a lot about it.
