Visiting Karura Forest was an excellent way to escape the chaos of Nairobi. To avoid large crowds, it's best to schedule your visit early in the morning or on a weekday. Ismael, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly—exactly the kind of person you would want on every walking tour. We enjoyed being in nature while learning more about Kenya's history, especially after having participated in city walking tours. I would recommend this tour to anyone with free time in Nairobi.

Ishmael is an incredible guide, and this is one of the best tours I have ever been on! He is a wealth of information on everything from history to wildlife. The tour was full of information, without leaving you feeling overwhelmed. Rather, I left the tour feeling inspired to experience more of Nariobi!

I had the pleasure of joining a tour with Ismael, and it was truly an amazing experience! He was incredibly professional, yet still fun and approachable, which made the tour both informative and enjoyable. Ismael’s friendliness and warmth made everyone feel welcome, and his extensive knowledge shone through in every aspect of the tour. He’s clearly passionate about what he does and his intelligence and insight added so much depth to the experience. I highly recommend Ismael as a guide

Ishmael is delightful and knowledgeable. We had a lovely 3 hour walk through the forest and caves. He knows a lot of the animals, plants and ecology and also a lot of Kenyan history and politics. 5 stars!
