Balcan Bites Food Tours

I thought for a food tour we would be visiting local produce markets etc but it was 5 places, including a bakery, burger joint, restaurant, coffee bar and a wine shop. It was all a bit random but I appreciated the chance to try a few things. Dress warmly, if you are going in winter as there is a lot of standing around outside.

The Balkans & Bites tour was such a great addition to our Sofia trip! Ilina was a fantastic tour guide, melding Bulgarian culture & history with the food history of the country. We loved most of the stops-and revisited a few-though wish there were some more substantial bites. Most were dessert/sweet and left hungry with a bit of a sugar hangover! 😆

Evo is a nice and sociable person who is always smiling, which makes the tour fun and enjoyable. I only wish we had eaten even more traditional Bulgarian food.
