Tour around historical Istanbul was good and Özcan was very knowledgable. However, we were sold a Bosphorus tour based on Özcans recommendation for 15€pp instead of 20€pp as an offer by him - which was, fairly honest, by far the worst tour we ever did and simoultnaiusly realised that we fell into a tourist trap (albeit being turkish myself) as the exact same tour elsewhere was offered for 100TLpp which is equivalent to 3€pp. Just take the governmental boats, which are also better equipped, to take a cruise along the Bosphorus. Hence, that worsened our experience in general.

Stop recommending places for eating that are total scams for tourists. The guide took time of the tour for taking us to some restaurants that he recommended. He told us this place was “very good”, “very traditional”, “it is where normal people comes to eat”, “it is like your grandma’s home” After the tour i get back to this place and mentioned i came with the tour. After that i got charged 560!!!! Turkish lires for a meal for ONE person, it was a very simple food in not a fancy at all place, i only went back because of the “guide” recommendation It is not professional to “recommend” some “random” places in which the workers even salutate the guide
