Timing issues. Tour was listed as 2hr45min but the actual time was over 4hn30min. A tour that long needs a food/coffee break in the middle and some clear communication from the guide on the actual length. Linh is a personable and knowledgeable guide
I was honestly quite disappointed as we received very little anecdotal and historical information and some of the places we visited were not really required like some random train station (not train street) that was nothing but an unnecessary photo stop. I came back no richer in knowledge about the fascinating Old Quarters. Also she teased more money out one of the group which is not very professional
The group was way too big, and it was difficult to hear our guide. The guide was vibrant but she seemed more interested in asking us questions that had no relevance to the tour rather than actually giving us information about Hanoi.
I'm looking at all these positive comments and am thinking what happened in the tour I was on 😀 The guide provided a lot of interesting information, but the tour felt scripted, questions from the group were not welcommed. She asked questions herself but left no space to answer them or wasn't really interested in the answers. Total lack of human connection. Really weird. Ah, and at times the tour felt a bit rushed and the guide got impatient when somebody didn't move fast enough, stood in a wrong place, etc.
