I have done a lot of guided walking tours around Europe - so I had great expectations and was expecting an amusing and interesting tour of the hidden gems of Edinburgh full of facts told in a structured and dynamic way. However, it was dull, slow paced and sometimes slightly painful! Hot tip: talk about Edinburgh and not about yourself! And don't include a very ugly window display of a teddy bear ... there are far more interesting places to see I'm quite sure!! Sorry to be harsh in my opinion but it is what it is!!
Respuesta del GuruAnn. I'm sorry your friends and yourself didn't enjoy the tour. To address some of your issues. The point of the tour is to talk about Edinburgh and the Edinburgh that is ignored by other tours. Not Harry Potter or ghost tours and to keep away from the usual subjects. To include Mary, Queen of Scots mother's palace, Susan Ferrier birthplace, St Giles Church etc. If this type of Edinburgh history isn't your thing perhaps you've booked the wrong tour.
