Big group (60+ people). Felt more like mass tourism than a local showing you around. The guide was hard to understand. The group was really big and we were split into subgroups when crossing a traffic light. The guide did not wait for the subgroups after crossing a traffic light and started with the information when subgroups were still missing. Recommendations were hard to follow.
Respuesta de NORDIC FREEDOM TOURS
Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for not being able to split the group on this tour, which resulted in an unusually large group size, exceeding our usual limit of 27 participants.
As a Scandinavian tour company specializing in walking tours, we are primarily focused on mass tourism, which is our commercial interest. If you prefer “non-mass” tours, we recommend considering private tours. These are strictly tailored to the individual preferences of each participant, are available for around 70 euros per person for a two-hour tour of Oslo, and require prepayment.
To demand "non-mass" from the organizer of public walking tours based on tips, in the capitals of countries where even going to the toilet costs a minimum of 3 euros, is a bit incorrect. Please understand that even your booking through the website incurs a commission for us, as we pay the website for every booking made.
We recognize your frustration with the large group size and do our best to handle such situations. Sometimes unexpected illnesses or problems with a second guide can lead to exceeding the normal group limit, especially during the high tourist season, which creates inconvenience for both the tourists and the guide.
Thank you for your understanding.
