Take this tour if you want a good historical and cultural overview! Take this tour if you want to "check the box" on having visited a lot of sites. Don't take this tour if you want to get some nice pictures or actually take in your surroundings. It would have been nice to have spent less time pointing at random green statues of historical figures and more time enjoying the historical buildings. A number of stops were behind construction (?) so it was hard to take a picture during the talking. The tour guide was interactive but distracting, we got to see a changing of the guards ceremony (cool!) but he talked a lot and started whistling some marching tune during the ceremony (distracting). Also, the Linktree of recommendations provided at the end is all in Spanish, which isn't helpful if you don't speak Spanish! This tour is a good option for some but not for all.
Jules was amazing! Especially considering it was cold and dark out, she made the tour engaging and fun. I loved how knowledgeable she was about the history and sights, and that she had a lot of specific recommendations. I also appreciated how she personalized the tour with her own experiences and opinions. One of the best tours I have taken. Thank you!
