Hi we went on a tour we booked at GuruWalk. The tourguide wore a shirt from Free Walking tours. They have a coöperation and deliver clients and guides. Our tourguides name is Lola. She normally did not guide this tour but since her colleague fell out die to illness, she stepped up. She knew a lot of true information and stories from the history of slavery and the resistance that grew in Rio. We finished the tour with a very nice meal at Angu Do Gomes and after that we are visiting the Monday Carnival at Pedra do Sal.
Great tour with a little bit of everything in it. Graffiti art, politics, history. We liked it very much.
Bruno knows everything and everyone. He keeps developing his story about the history and keeps searching for old maps to show how the buildings, parks and lagunes have changed te last 300/400 years. He is amazing, friendly and will make sure that you are safe under his watch. We ended up in the Favela and had a blast watching the world cup match between Morocco and Spain.
