Carlos was well mannered and a nice natured person to escort a group on a tour, but the fundamental problem was that he just spoke too fast!! We couldn't fault him on his knowledge and enthusiasm for the city but we felt we weren't really gaining anything from the experience as his language was just so frenetic. Actually we also weren't feeling great (we'd been suffering with food poisoning) so we apologised for parting ways & we went off to enjoy the city on our own.
This guided walk really exceeded my expectations- Robert was so fluid & articulate with his delivery. He was so very engaging & informative. His knowledge of the history of Hungary was astounding and really enlightening for the group. My husband & I have done a few foreign guided tours in the past - but this was one of the best! His command of the English language is excellent, contrary to other tours we've been on, & he tailored his 'talk' according to the interests of the group. The 6 of us who went on the tour with Robert would highly recommend the tour to visitors of Budapest 😀
