Osvaldo was an excellent guide of the Paseo Montejo! We learned some truly unique fun facts (ask about the Mayan fertility sculptures in one of the gardens). He did a great job of contextualizing the history of Merida and the Yucatan peninsula, as well as relating it to contemporary political and social transformations. The Paseo itself is a lovely stroll any time of day, but the mansions really shone at night. The tour is almost 2 hours and it whizzed by. Book the tour – you won't regret it!
