I had the absolute privilege of doing the Pyramids of Giza tour with Sherif, and I can honestly say it was one of the best GuruWalk experiences I’ve ever had (and I’ve done many around the globe!). Sherif is not only incredibly knowledgeable—sharing fascinating stories, history, and mysteries of the pyramids and the Sphinx—but the experience was even more enriching because he is an actual archaeologist working on the plateau. That means his tours are always up-to-date with the latest discoveries and insights, which made it feel truly special. He also tailored the entire experience to me. I got lucky that the other guests didn’t show up (if you’re reading this, you truly missed out!). What made it extra memorable was Sherif’s energy and passion. He has a gift for storytelling that makes the ancient world come alive, and on top of that, he’s a brilliant photographer—I now have some of the best pictures from my trip thanks to him. He also gave me loads of local tips and recommendations which I really appreciated. If you’re considering a tour in Cairo, don’t hesitate. Sherif’s tour was an unforgettable highlight and I would highly, highly recommend it.

This was an excellent introduction to the pyramids. Sherif is clearly an expert—he gave us rigorous, detailed information about the history and mysteries of the pyramids, including with academic references so that I can go back and read in more detail. He was patient, engaging, and very friendly.
