This was a really great tour! Thiago is super knowledgable about the history of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil in general and he's really generous with his time. I ended up being the only person who showed up so I got a private tour! Just note that the queue for the tramway to Santa Teresa might take a long time, we had to wait about 40 minutes. Maybe lay off the bawdy anecdotes a little depending on the audience, but other than that, I really enjoyed the tour, thanks a lot Thiago!
I loved this tour! Even though it was in the rain, it was really enjoyable (after buying an umbrella!) and I learned a lot. Please note that if you book a bit late like me (in the 30 minutes before the tour starts) you might get some surprises, as the tour was in Spanish when I expected it to be in English but not enough people booked it in English. It was fine for me but something to be aware of double-checking by messaging the guide if you book late.
