An informative walk around a concentrated area with tons of colorful murals and expressive graffiti that the tour leader expanded upon to give greater context. Was a very small group of only 4 which allowed for lots of interactive commentary. Alberto was knowledgeable about the changing history of the area & clearly conveyed his enthusiasm for the numerous artists and their stories. Fully recommend tour & leader!

Quite interesting walk that provided a lot of Cuban history, and demographic statistics about various immigrant groups coming to the U.S. interspersed with personal details related to tour leader’s family background who are Cuban. Alberto was very personable, open to questions and entertaining. Enjoyed the route, with several opportunities to sit, interact with local businesses directly and sample relevant food. Definitely recommend the tour!

Good route for learning more about the history & legends of the area, especially residential sections. Appreciated places to sit along the way, & notable stories about people associated with bldgs. Local guide excellent English but sometimes found hard to understand her accent as spoke quickly. Recommend!

Estacion was a terrific guide w. excellent English, easy to hear & understand, and great enthusiasm for both neighborhoods we visited—Roma (where she lives) & Condesa! Her presentation was lively, entertaining and very informative. She gave a helpful overview of Mexican history, politics and traditions, & had a great route with recommendations for restaurants and local activities to do, which were very helpful. Highly recommend this tour and Estacion as a guide!

Today as 2 women from the U.S. (Boston & Dallas) we enjoyed exploring 2 markets with Ruben, with only the 2 of us. He was very informative and personable and was able to answer all of our questions. We walked for 15 min. to the 1st and much larger market (La Merced) through streets that were very crowded & noisy, in part b/c it was a holiday/Mexican Int’l Day. He was a good navigator & good that there were only 2 of us participants! We then took a metro (very interesting!) to the 2nd & much smaller market (San Juan) that was much less crowded and the presentation of the produce seemed much cleaner & protected. This turned out to be a far more informative way to learn about the history, culture & significance of MXC’s markets than doing it on our own. Definitely recommend it!
