Richard provided a unique tour. I expected to go straight to Buckingham Palace as I had in the past on my own. Instead we say the beginnings at St. James Place, followed them toward Buckingham and walked through the beautiful park and then saw the ending of the ceremony (not at Buckingham either) and the horses guards up close. It was lovely to see the "behind the scenes" instead of just the formal (and crowded) Buckingham Palace view. Thanks, Richard!
Very up close tour, I would recommend if you want to know the close up spots. However, you do not see the guards in front of Buckingham but rather in front of St James Palace.. The walking was short from one location to the next. I would recommend this tour just to see the guards though.
This tour exceeded our expectations in every way. We had no trouble finding Richard at the meeting point, and from there, he guided us through an engaging and informative walk. He shared fascinating historical insights about the statues and events we passed, making the experience even more enriching. One of the highlights was having front-row views of both the outgoing and incoming Guards – a perfect vantage point we wouldn’t have had without this tour. Richard was friendly, knowledgeable, and truly made this walking tour memorable. Highly recommended!
