If you are trying to decide which walking tour to take in Athens, I cannot recommend this tour enough. Our group of six are quite frequent walking tour users, and we all agreed that this was easily one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Our guide, Alessandro, was incredibly structured and interesting, striking the perfect balance with the information he shared. All the facts and stories were highly relevant and engaging without being too extensive, and he was more than happy to answer any questions we had along the way. Beyond the content, Alessandro’s delivery style was excellent. He is fluent in English, very easy to understand, and speaks up clearly so that everyone in the group can hear him without effort. The route he chose was very nice and felt much more thoughtful than other tours we have tried in Athens in past years. It really gave us a fresh perspective on the city. What made the three hours fly by was the perfect pacing and Alessandro’s friendly personality. He even planned a short coffee and restroom break in the middle of the tour, which meant the duration never felt too long or exhausting. The distance covered and the speed of the walk were just right for our group. We are all very happy with the tour and truly thankful to have had such a great guide :)
I have done many GuruWalks and Alex is definitely among the best in terms of style, presentation and approach. Easy to understand and easy in nature, he communicates really well and ensures the whole group is included and engaged.
