¡Hola qué tal! soy Rubén y me dedico al teatro y las artes gráficas. Me gusta viajar, conocer y compartir con diferentes culturas y personalidades así como aprender cosas nuevas. He tenido las fortuna de viajar por todo México, Centroamérica y Europa.
Vivo en el centro histórico de la CDMX por 20 años. Me gusta el contacto humano, lo que me llevó a recibir huéspedes de intercambio en 2006 (Hospitality Club). Mas tarde continué en otra experiencia de alojamiento para extranjeros por 6 años y con estas experiencias he aprendido mucho de las personas que me he ido encontrado en este camino. Me gusta mucho mi ciudad y adoro los barrios en donde he crecido.
Me interesa la cultura popular que se gesta en los mercados, es muy atractivo y revelador de nuestras formas de vida en la ciudad.
Soy una persona divertida y amable, me gusta la camaradería y el buen sentido del humor. Puedo hablar fluidamente ingles y alemán.

We had a great time on our tour with Ruben. He's very professional and incredibly knowledgeable about the city. Mercado de la Merced is an enormous labyrinth and is definitely best visited with a guide for the full experience. Ruben did a great job keeping the group together in crowded spaces and we learned a lot about the market and surrounding neighborhoods. We are very glad we went on this tour and recommend it to other travelers.
Today as 2 women from the U.S. (Boston & Dallas) we enjoyed exploring 2 markets with Ruben, with only the 2 of us. He was very informative and personable and was able to answer all of our questions. We walked for 15 min. to the 1st and much larger market (La Merced) through streets that were very crowded & noisy, in part b/c it was a holiday/Mexican Int’l Day. He was a good navigator & good that there were only 2 of us participants! We then took a metro (very interesting!) to the 2nd & much smaller market (San Juan) that was much less crowded and the presentation of the produce seemed much cleaner & protected. This turned out to be a far more informative way to learn about the history, culture & significance of MXC’s markets than doing it on our own. Definitely recommend it!
El guía, Ruben, no se presento y tampoco tuvo la delicadeza de avisar que no iba a ir, le mandé varios mensajes preguntándole si se iba hacer el tour y nunca contesto 😡😡😡
Ruben spricht gutes Deutsch, hat uns auf der Tour super viel erklärt und war total zwanglos und herzlich. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen!
