Very entertainig tour. Lot of information about La Boca, its origin, its importance to the city and also about is connection with footbell.
Very good guide who has a nice manner and clear English. I thought we spent a bit too long in the fire station (which was also the meeting point) and I didn't realise La Boca was so connected with football which was quite a large part of the tour. Otherwise once in La Boca art/shopping streets it isn't really that big with perhaps 4 or 5 interesting streets of which 2 we toured with some historic info along with the waterfront. I'm not sure what I quite expected but at the end I felt a little underwhelmed. But Fernando did his best to be entertaining and informative and is a very personable guide.
Fernando is very enthusiastic, helpful, and generous with gifts. However, other tour guides we had in Buenos Aires were better able to convey information, both in terms of their English and the richness of the content. It is likely that those who took his tours in Spanish enjoyed their experience more.
The tour was very informative and I got to see many places in La Boca with nice explanations. The guide also had a map with many pictures from the past to add in his explanations to make everything more lively. It was a nice fun tour and I can recommend to take it. I was the only person in the tour.
