Owen was a very entertaining and well-informed guide. He obviously has a lot of experience and knew how to keep the group organized and moving. I noticed he made sure to spend some one-on-one time, while we were walking, with different people (including me), which was very thoughtful. We did seem to stop at a lot of construction sites but that wasn't his fault. At the end, he gave us a lot of restaurant and pub recommendations. I chose a Palestinian spot for lunch and it was absolutely delicious!
Conor is a treasure! I did all three of his tours and am now a big fan! He definitely has a gift of the gab but is so knowledgeable, so entertaining, so enthusiastic I could hardly complain. He was very organized, kept the group together and moving, quick on his feet addressing questions, and just simply a great guy. I'm so glad I booked the Southside tour with him, then the pub crawl and finally this tour. I wish he did more!!
Even with all the rain, wind and dropping temperatures, our guide managed to instruct and entertain our small group of 4 with his deep knowledge of and excited passion for his home town of Coimbra. This was my third trip to the city and I was amazed to discover so many places I'd never been before, including the marvelous botanic gardens adjacent to the university. I would happily go on another of his tours next trip!
I almost always seek out GuruWalks when I'm traveling and I'm never disappointed. Not only are they interesting from an historical/cultural standpoint, but they are typically quite entertaining. Ben was pretty hysterical with a sharp sense of humor. He kept us moving and we really covered a lot of ground. We were done almost exactly on time--a feat and truly appreciated because I was on a tight schedule. Highly recommend this tour and this guide!
In spite of a steady rain, Nuno led a brilliant tour filled with fascinating history, covering a lot of ground and lots of fun facts. He’s a total professional with an impressive background. He tried throughout the morning to shield us from the rain, which was very thoughtful. I may have been soaked by the end of the tour but I was 150% delighted with my experience.
