($30 is pretty expensive given the amount of food my group ate and how inexpensive the food was.) Lulu was our replacement guide, substituting for the owner. She was great an enthusiastic especially around Ramadan. She listen to us after we said we don’t eat that much and started ordering less for us. However, when it came to collecting tip I was shocked to find it was $30//pp. it just feels deceiving to be on this platform.

With Hassan we had a great time, it was nice to walk around, listen to all the information and taste delicious local food, sweets and drinks.
Great experience, great food
This was an excellent tour - so much food! If you want to taste some really authentic Egyptian dishes this is the tour for you - the most amazing Garlic Chicken Shwarma, Koshary, Falafel, Ful and loads of sweet treats (I especially enjoyed the Arabian ice cream). And all washed down with a tamarind drink that tasted sublime. Hassan will take you to 6 or 7 local places and suggest the best dishes on offer. It’s all done at a relaxed pace and he’ll tell you about the history and architecture of the places along the way. Make this the first tour you do in Cairo and you’ll be back at the places to eat again and again!
