I waited at the advised newsstand in Catania but no guide showed and didn't seem to be any other walkers. Weather wasn't great so assumed cancelled but didn't have details on hand to message only print out of joining instructions.
Having discovered different areas of Paris, the Latin Quarter is perhaps not the most interesting but does have some hidden gems. Thierry the guide was extremely warm and welcoming, very friendly for a French man (English humour)!
