We really enjoyed the free walking tour of historic Salvador, starting at Castro Alves Square and ending in Pelourinho. The 2.5-hour tour was well-paced and covered a great mix of history, culture, and local context. Our guide, Eduardo, was very knowledgeable and provided detailed explanations throughout in clear and easy-to-follow English. He shared fascinating stories about Salvador’s past, architecture, and cultural influences, which made the experience engaging and informative from start to finish. The route itself was excellent, giving a great overview of the historic centre while allowing time to appreciate key landmarks along the way. As a tip-based tour, it offered excellent value, and we were happy to contribute a gratuity at the end. Overall, a great introduction to Salvador and highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn more about the city’s rich history.

El tour fue muy bueno. El problema era el calor pero el guis ofreció sombrilla y siempre hizo sus explicaciones en lugares a la sombra
