Very impressed … she was great
Our well informed guide Thanh took us on a fascinating journey through what seems a simple market. She told the story of Hue's emperors, the construction and spiritual history and its current place in contemporary Hue society. Then there was the food! I got to try amazing local specially dumplings I never works have known to try on my own. We finished up with a classic salt coffee in the trendy upstairs coffee shop. Great experience. Thanks Thanh!
Thanh was very informative and friendly - we enjoyed visiting different foodstalls to sample different dishes. Having an iced coconut coffee at the end was great too.
Thanh was a great guide, she showed me 3 different dishes including Bun bo Hue (beef noodles), shrimp pancakes and a traditional Che Hue. All from small vendors in the Cho Dong Ba market which we navigated very well. Thanh gave good insight into which fruits are good at different times of year, and she showed me some of the smaller snacks like dried watermelon seeds and some interesting flavoured teas. We ended our tour with a great salted coffee in the cafe upstairs. Thanh has a charming personality and is striving to develop even further into giving great tours around Hue, expanding from food and culture into history too!
Thanh was super helpful and friendly! Picked me up on motorbike at my hotel, and we ate so much good food. I am gluten free (celiac), and she helped me navigate what I could eat at the market. It was fun to connect with an open and accepting young person
