We wrote a comment upon completion of this tour which appears to have been erased. The tour lacked enthusiasm, content, information and substance, really anything Christmas related. Merely pointing at a building and calling it "historic" or "important" is not sufficient. Telling us the clock is hard to read not a show stopper. A ride on a metro underground does not allow us to "experience the sights and sounds and smells of Christmas in Prague" as promised at the tour's start. We have never written a negative review on any walks we have done, and we have done many. This tour was flat and completely missed the mark, a waste of precious time in Prague. Do not join a group that incorporates 3 languages in one tour ....not fair to anyone.
Respuesta de I Love Praag
Sorry to hear that you were not satisfied. During the Christmas tour we normally let people really experience the Christmas atmosphere in Prague and we visit many different places within the city. We visit places in the city center but also places further away that are not always within walking distance. As stated in the description, during this tour we sometimes exceptionally use public transport to get to more distant places. Our preference is for the tram because you can look outside. Unfortunately, there are no trams on Prague's Old Town Square. Normally we just walk a little further and see some extra beautiful places in the city. Unfortunately, a lot of snow had fallen in recent days, more than 50 centimeters. This amount of snowfall is a lot by Prague standards. The municipality normally does everything it can to keep the city accessible, but this volume could not be handled. Normally, for example, we walk from the Charles Bridge via the idyllic Mala Straná in the direction of the Charles Bridge, but almost all of Prague had turned into an ice rink. Some parts were so slippery that it was not safe to walk there. Our guides have met every day over the past week to review what is safe and what is not. It was also made clear to you in advance that some parts of the tour were simply far too dangerous and that we unfortunately had to skip them. Yes, we used the Metro for a short distance to get to Namesti Miru, but given the special circumstances we had no other option.
We are very sorry to read your unfortunately negative review because despite the extreme circumstances we have done our utmost to give you a nice tour.
We did the complete tour only in English so it's a lie that it was in 3 languages. Yes we offer it normally in more. But at this tour we did in only 1.
